Eman Gaad is the Dean of the Faculty of Education and a Professor of Special and Inclusive Education at the British University in Dubai (BUiD). She is also an Affiliate Lecturer at the University of Glasgow, UK. Professor Gaad led BUiD’s special and inclusive Masters programme for many years and currently leads the Doctoral Programme. In 2022 she became a Goodwill Ambassador for Bangladesh. She has established herself as a world-class researcher, advocate, international social development consultant and expert in the field. Additionally, Professor Gaad is a TEDx Speaker, regular invited keynote speaker, certified assessor, and a professional social trainer.
Professor Gaad is a sound academic, an External PhD Examiner for reputed universities around the world (UK, Australia, Canada and India) and is a recognized international scholar in the field of special and Inclusive Education as well as social development. She has also secured millions of AEDs in research funding from the government of the UAE to examine the field. She co-founded one of the largest NGOs in the UAE, the Emirates Down Syndrome Association (EDSA).
Professor Gaad has published the findings of her research work in international journals and her single authored book ‘Inclusive Education in the Middle East’ by Routledge in 2010 is very popular among scholars and researchers internationally. She was awarded several local, regional and international awards for her work to promote inclusivity.

Phil Quirke, Executive Dean of Education, Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE, has worked in leadership positions for over twenty years and published widely on teacher education, action research, reflective writing, and educational management & leadership focused on his DREAM approach that places students, faculty and learning at the heart of all decisions. Prof. Mbulungeni Madiba is Dean of the Faculty of Education at SU since September 2019. He has served as the Director of the Multilingual Education Project (MEP) in the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHED) at UCT. He has been Deputy Dean and Acting Dean of the CHED a number of times, chaired UCT’s Senate Language Committee and served on the UCT Council. Prof Madiba has 30 years of teaching experience and a wealth of experience in leadership and management. He has also received research fellowships and study awards from a number of higher education institutions abroad, including the universities of Cologne, London (Oppenheimer fellow), Birmingham and Harvard (Mandela fellow). His main research interests are language planning and policy, with a special focus on multilingual education.

Muhammad Faizal A. Ghani is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Management, Administration and Policy, Faculty of Education, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. His expertise is Educational Leadership focusing on Educational Management and Administration, and School Finance. His expertise is for the benefit of society by sharing some academic knowledge, skills, and value in the forms of reading material such as publishing nine academic books and two hundred articles. His latest academic book entitled “Professional Learning Communities: Theories and Practices”. In terms of delivering an academic speech, he has been selected to be keynote speakers and invited speakers for some international and national conferences, seminars, and workshops.
In the research area, besides being an evaluator for research proposals of his university’s academic staff, he has bee awarded more than USD80,000 research grants for his interest in Effective School, Educational Leadership, School Finance, and Principalship. Therefore, all experiences of him are put in the shape of a journal namely Journal of Educational Leadership by appointing him as an editor besides being an editorial board for some international journals like Bannu University Research Journal in Education, Journal of Economics and Finance, European Journal of Educational and Social Sciences and International Journal of Education Teaching and Learning.
